During the mid 1990’s to around 2000, the Beavers were run by Jim Shallcross then by Mark & Janet McDonald and Michele Hammond. The Cubs by Sharon Hickton with help from various Ventures and various other leaders. The Scouts by Dave Bowers and then Nick Wood with help from Gareth O’Donnell, Wayne Foster & Domonic Boyson. The Ventures were run by Gareth O’Donnell & Jop (Wayne Foster). Dave Bowers was now GSL.<\/p>\n

In 1999, two of the Ventures gained their Queen’s Scouts Award. Alistair Anslow (Alb) & Wayne Foster (Jop) were the last last members of the Group to have gained this award until 2014 (see here)<\/a>. They can be seen below with the Group’s other two Queen’s Scouts.<\/div>\n

Although the 4 Queen’s Scouts shown here and Jack in 2014 are the only ones we know of in the Group, we had at least one King’s Scout in the 1920’s or 1930’s. Mr. F. Tyler, who was also an old Patrol Leader, is mentioned in a newspaper article from 1938.<\/p>\n

On 2nd January 2000, a group of new members joined the Ventures. They were invested during a hike with the Scouts in the Goyt Valley.<\/p>\n
