Arthur Goulding was born in Newcastle between January and March 1895 to Arthur and Rose Goulding. Arthur Snr was born in Newcastle and Rose in Tittensor and they had ten children.

According to the 1901 Census, the family were living at 35 Watlands view and Arthur Snr was employed as a Coal Miner Hewer. In 1908, the family were still at the same address, but by 1911 they had moved to 29 Sparrow Terrace. Arthur Snr is still in the same job and Arthur Jnr is listed as a Labourer in the coal dealing industry.

We know nothing more about Arthur, other than he died between July and September 1958 in Newcastle aged 63.
